Those guests who would like a more active vacation, can enjoy the numerous walking and cycle paths which pass through olive groves, forests and vineyards and through bays beside the sea.
In Malinska you can go water skiing, sailing, go paddling in boat and kayak, parachute, and from the inside of glass bottom boats, view the seabed. Not far from Malinska, there is the attractive Biserujka cave that is well worth a visit.
Besides numerous cultural events, performances, concerts and local parties, fans of night-time entertainment can have a great time in the "Crossroad" disco and “Boa” night club.







The island of Krk is famous for its cultural, historical and domestic heritage.
The most important historical finds are the Roman municipium Curicta (Krk) with the Krk cathedral and the abandoned ancient town Fulfinum near Omišalj, founded in the 1st century after Christ.
A unique Glagolitic heritage of the island of Krk – Bašćanska ploča (Baška tablet) - dating from 1100, is the first monument written in the Croatian language. It is found in the St. Lucija church, in Jurandvor near Baška.
Picturesque medieval castles Omišalj, Krk, Vrbnik, Dobrinj and Baška and the islet of Košljun with a unique treasury of natural and cultural heritage that was protected by Franciscan monks for 550 years.
In Porat, 3 km from Malinska, there is a monastery of the Third Order Franciscans and the church of St. Maria Magdalena dating from 1500. Within the monastery there is a museum collection with a library, ethnographic collection with an original olive mill and Glagolitic lapidarium.
